Wilderness, Adventure & Natives

Destination: Namibia
Trip Length: 5 Days
Cost: £2,015 / €3,080 per person excluding international flights

Overview

This short trip combines a short time in Namibia’s capital city with 3 nights in one of the most remote camps in southern Africa, and with easy access to Windhoek from Southern Africa, can be easily tagged on to the end of an existing trip.

A true wilderness area 3.5 hours flight from Windhoek, this environment provides an opportunity to explore one of the driest deserts in the world. Activities include nature drives across the sand dunes, guided quad-bike excursions, boating on the river, walking in remote valleys and at waterfalls, and an opportunity to find out about the nomadic lifestyle and traditions of the Himba people with a trip to a local village.

Accommodation is in a small camp perched on the Kunene River where Namibia borders with Angola. En suite canvass and thatch chalets with private decks overlook the river, providing contrasting scenery of the rugged mountains and sand dunes. The camp also has a sunken lounge, river bar and pool.
