Testimonial
"We had a wonderful time in Namibia. Everything went well. It is a beautiful country. Can't believe we saw so much in such a short time.
Our guide, Paulo de Oliviera, was excellent. We were quite apprehensive being the only two on this safari, but he put us at our ease immediately and made the holiday very special. Nothing was too much trouble, and he has a wealth of knowledge about his country which he obviously loves.
Looking forward to our next trip with Native Escapes".

What this Trip Contributes
Admission fees to the Big Cat rehabilitation project ensures that the valuable work undertaken by the charitable foundation is supported. The foundation has rehabilitated over 80% of cats back into the wild since its work began.
We stay at eco-friendly, locally owned and managed lodges which have been built using local materials and which blend into their environments. We recommend eco-friendly activities for optional activities, use local guides in rural areas and aim to minimise our impact on all the destinations we visit.
We have forged a link with the Child Hope Innitiatives Project in Windhoek, which provides basic numeracy and literacy teaching programme to 50 orphans. Guests are invited to bring items to donate to the project such as stationery, basic English books, toys and deflated footballs or other sports equipment. A visit to the project is possible as part of the City tour on Day 1.
Trip Extensions
To get the most from a trip to Southern Africa, and for a completely different perspective, it's worth extending a trip. Combination holidays allow for flexibility and variety, so in addition to a safari, extensions could include a few days on the
beach in Mozambique,
a short city break in Cape Town or a few days at
Victoria Falls. There are also some really different choices, like a
4 day houseboat trip on the Lower Zambezi, or a fly-in visit to outlying villages and tribes in
Namibia. For more ideas on extensions, click on the country of choice to the left and follow the 'Extensions' link.
Travel between the countries is generally easy, making it feasible for an extension to be in a different country to the main trip. Contact us for further information on trip ideas and on organising travel between countries.
