Livingstone, Victoria Falls

Destination: Zambia
Trip Length: To suit
Cost: £260 / €315 per person based on 4 days excluding international flights

Overview

One of the seven natural wonders of the world, the 107km-wide Victoria Falls are an incredible sight. Whilst a walk at the falls is an awesome experience in itself, there are ample opportunities for other activities, such as scenic helicopter flights, whitewater rafting, abseiling, sunset boat cruises, bungi jumping, canoeing, fishing, microlighting ... to name a few.

The Falls are at their grandest when in full flow from April to July, though in other months, the lack of spray makes it easier to appreciate the size and scope of this magnificent sight. Visit during the full moon, and you will see the lunar rainbow.

Accommodation in Livingstone includes hotels only 5 minutes’ walk from the falls, to beautiful small lodges situated further down the Zambezi river. All accommodations can organise activities locally, and some provide an inclusive programme that might involve a visit to a local village, boat trips, canoe excursion and guided walk.

Flights to Livingstone are available from throughout Southern Africa, making this an ideal extension to an existing trip within the region.
