In the remote wild, see polar bears and beluga whales or reel in a massive fish. In Winnipeg, take in the triumphs of the human spirit at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights, get swept away by Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and discover how Canadian history lives on in vibrant neighbourhoods. Manitoba truly is where Canada’s heart beats.

Manitoba is a wilderness province, and a wonderful destination for those seeking a different kind of adventure. It is a province of remote lodges, unusual wildlife and diverse cultures.

The town of Churchill on the Hudson Bay is about the best place on the planet to see polar bears. In the autumn, they are known to wander through the small town, whilst waiting for the Bay to freeze in order to head across the ice to hunt for seals.  In the summer, you can also see beluga whales off the shore of this homely little town.

By night, in the north of the province, on a clear evening, you can gaze up at the sky and find yourself mesmerised by the seemingly impossible colours of aurora borealis - the Northern Lights.

Winnipeg is the capital of the province and is a city that focus very much on its diverse and varied, not least that of the First Nations people and the city provides a number of attractions and lodges that support indigenous cultures.
