Self Drive Safaris in Namibia
A self-drive holiday in Namibia perfectly balances flexibility and affordability. Take an air-conditioned 4×4 along the route of your choice – we provide directions, accommodation, and road assistance, so you can focus on exploring this magnificent country for yourself.
Namibia is not a destination for mass tourism or chain hotels; The lodges we use tend to be relatively small: no 100+-room hotels outside of Windhoek, more likely 20-bed max lodges, and most with just 10 – 12 rooms, so space quickly fills up. If you are thinking of travelling to this amazing country, we’d advise to plan well in advance, so that you can get the pick of the accommodation. In busy travelling months (June-early October), lodges sell out quickly.
What our experts say
“Our self drive Namibia trips are original and tailor made. Climb sand dunes as high as skyscrapers at sunrise, watch seals frolick alongside your catamaran cruise, track desert adapted elephant, see shipwrecks off the remote Skeleton Coast, spot the rings around Saturn on a star-gazing experience, and learn about cheetah rehabilitation at Okonjima. Enjoy the freedom and flexibility that a self drive itinerary affords.”
