The holiday was great!, actually, more than great!. As you know this was my first experience as a lone traveller and I was a little nervous about the experience. I needn’t have been as everyone was helpful and no question was too small. This includes from booking to getting home again. The accommodation was top rate, I personally could not fault it, nor any of the staff as they were all so friendly and courteous at all times. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them.
Arnold our guide come driver was very knowledgeable and passionate about his country. He could turn his hand to anything and seemed to have a good rapport with the camps we stayed in. This made for an amazing holiday for all of us. I feel the food is worthy of a note – Fabulous cuisine, whether we were at camp or hotel, dining in a restaurant, picnicking under a tree or indulging in champagne and oysters on a boat. We never went hungry, in fact the opposite we seemed to always be eating. (No complaints from me on that score!)
Thank you once again for your time and patience. I will keep my eye on the Native Escapes website for future holidays and will certainly recommend Native Escapes to family and friends.

We had a superb time.
The tour was excellently organised; the guide was first-rate and so multi-skilled; the group we travelled with were like old friends by day three; the accommodation was very good; and above all Namibia is a beautiful and varied country with friendly people and so much to offer.
The many long bumpy rides covering the large distances over gravel roads were all worthwhile!
One of our best-ever holidays. Thank you for all your help in arranging it.

South Africa. Mr and Mrs Arbuthnott
Everything worked like clock-work, you sent us to some very special places and we had a fabulous time!
We loved Franschhoek, Robertson and Graaff Reinet in particular. The Small Hotel in Robertson was absolutely outstanding in every way with absolutely charming staff who could not have done more for us – we would have liked to have spent more time there!
We loved the routes between Robertson and Knysna and Kysna and Graaff Reinet (through the sensational Prince Alfred Pass).
In hindsight our main mistake may have been to try to give you too much guidance – Next time we will be guided entirely by you!

The holiday was amazing – and far exceeded my expectations.
I enjoyed the wilderness camping – or rather it should be called ‘glamping’ with such luxury – as we felt so close to nature – it was amazing to be such a small group in such an immense wilderness with just wildlife as your neighbours.
Namibia was a truly wonderful country – the scenery / geology was stunning – and with a retired professor of geology as part of the group I returned a real enthusiast for geology – the wildlife stunning – and some initial reservations at the size of the vehicle we were in for game drives were quickly expelled with the range of animal and bird life that we saw close up.
And yes, I do plan for the next time – I will be back in contact in due course to look for another small group holiday – but I am not sure where yet.

Our trip was fantastic thank you. Everything went smoothly and all your planning worked like clockwork! All the accommodations were lovely and we were always well hosted.
Cape Cadogan Hotel reception staff sourced us some lovely restaurants and arranged shuttles for us to the Waterfront and to Table Mountain. Moonstruck and Vilacqua were also very helpful and welcoming with beautiful settings.
La Cabriere was a lovely place to stay with stunning views, but there was just a little less satisfaction with the restaurant booking. De Zeekoe Farm was again a lovely setting and interesting to seeing what can be done with a farm. It was also well located to go and visit the surrounding places of interest.
Finally the Safari was great. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely try and return one day.
Thanks for your personal touches regarding Gary’s birthday. Every time we arrived at the next accommodation, there was a bottle of bubbly or a cake or card and he was very spoilt!
All in all it was truly one of the best holiday’s we have ever had, and we have been to many many countries over the years. South Africa is a beautiful country and we do want to go back some time.
