All of the scheduled lodges and camps were well chosen and met or exceeded our expectations.
We really enjoyed the self drive. It gave us the freedom that we like and though some days were long on the road there was always a comfortable welcome at the end. We certainly saw some beautiful and diverse scenery and plenty of wildlife on our chosen game drives. Namibia is a delightful holiday destination. It’s possibly worth mentioning that most of the other guests did not have English as their first language but we met enough fellow travellers to chat to along the way.
So, a fabulous trip. Thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a really amazing time, thank you!
Everything went very smoothly with the camps and all the transfers etc. The overnight in Dar was a good idea as it allowed us to have a good rest before going on safari.
All the staff in both the Camp and on Mafia Island were very friendly and helpful; and catered well for our dietary requirements which was much appreciated. We saw all the wildlife we were hoping to see (and more!) so we were very happy! All in all it was a great holiday – it’s just a shame that we had to come back!

Gradually settling back to reality!! I’ve been looking back at the trip and comparing it with the one by private train we were originally booked on. So pleased it was cancelled!!
Your ground team were terrific at each end in Windhoek and we didn’t need them in between. The light aircraft transfers were great fun and meant we could cover distances without the long hot dusty road trips. The lodges were all excellent, my favourite being Damaraland camp, wonderful staff and very sociable.
Thanks for pulling out all the stops to organise such a great trip.

All the arrangements went really smoothly and the ground reps were really professional. And we didn’t get a flat tyre!!
My highlight in terms of accommodation was Etendeka, the host Dennis was really welcoming and the remoteness of the camp made it feel like a real adventure! The outside bucket showers were really good!!! Moon Mountain Lodge was also really good, with the staff and managers making us really welcome!!
My advice for anyone booking this trip, would be to spread out the trip as much as possible, the driving is intense and it would have been good to have more rest days.

South Africa Self-Drive and Safari. Ms Haxby
We got home safe and sound and totally exhilarated by our fantastic holiday in SA. Your organisation was immaculate and the driving instructions and booklet you provided made the trip so easy – all we had to do was relax and enjoy it so thank you for that. All the accommodation you selected were of a super high standard and we were treated like royalty everywhere. The highlight being Lukimbi, simply fantastic!
I’ve already recommended you to a couple of friends and I’ll definitely be in touch for our next African adventure – we’re hooked.
