We had a super fantastic time ???? We’d go back in a heart beat…..
Everything was perfect – from the airport pick up in a jeep by our Ranger who had ice cold drinks for us. Sitting on the jeep to the lodge – sun on our backs – enjoying drinks and unimaginable scenery…
The kids were captivated on every game drive. We had a vehicle to ourselves which was thoughtful – kids could talk and ask questions all throughout with being concerned about others in the jeep.
Lodge, food, hospitality – don’t even know where to start…. absolutely second to none!!!!
Nothing was too much trouble. Family feel was evident among staff. After the 1st day, we felt part of the family too. Everyone knew us by name and we knew them all as they all introduced themselves when they met us.
Food – drinks – Both plentiful and delicious!!!

Again, you have surpassed yourselves at Native Escapes – we have been expressing our trust in your company throughout our trip.
Our guides at were very knowledgeable, not only about the animals but the land/plants/trees. The staff were lovely and we would definitely highly recommend the lodges – we would didn’t want to leave and would love to return.
We were continually told throughout the trip we were “lucky” – the wild life was so abundant and we saw several “rare” sightings at all camps including 3 cheetahs returning to Lukimbi after a couple of years absence and giraffes necking fight; a mother and baby cheetah up a tree with a kill and hyenas below at Lion Sands & too many other sightings to list and at Kings Camp wild dogs with their kill and lions with their kill.
As I have said earlier, Native Escapes provided an excellent trip for us and we have no hesitation in highly recommending you to others. Thank you so very much for your expert advice and professionalism. We will be in touch in the future for our further trips to Africa.

We had an excellent guide; I could not have done what he did, nor taken us to the places he did and we would have missed out on his extensive knowledge of the country and the wildlife on a self-drive trip. He integrated well into our group and it was like having five people on holiday, not four.
The itinerary was very good. The scenery, as you know is magnificent. The wildlife was very varied and numerous; we saw a number of kills. The kayaking, dune drives and the trips in the lodges were well worth doing.
We couldn’t recommend this trip more highly. Thank you for helping make this a great holiday for us.
Faces of Namibia. Ms Christensen
The Namibia trip was wonderful. It was a delight to be travelling with such a small and congenial group. The accommodations were all very nice. Our guide (Esmes) was exceptional and made every effort to be sure that we had a good experience. All in all, I felt I received excellent value for the price in every way.
Grand Tour with Victoria Falls Extension. Mr & Mrs Ayles
Firstly, Victoria Falls. What a fantastic hotel, we felt like a million dollars staying there and all the staff were so friendly. We managed to pack in a walk above the Falls, a helicopter flight and an evening cruise on the Zambezi all in the same day! In fact we enjoyed it so much we could easily have stayed there longer.
We also enjoyed our South African tour. We always felt very safe and the Ilios team looked after us well. We both enjoyed the first week more mainly because it was less developed and had a friendlier feel. The game trips were fantastic and we saw all Big 5 on our first morning in Kruger. So everything after that was a bonus, and what a bonus as we also saw cheetahs close up and drove through a herd of water buffalo. All the local guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and for both of us the trip that really stood out was to the Zulu village. It was a really interesting experience and gave an insight into rural South Africa.
The second week had a different feel but again some amazing experiences. The scenery was spectacular and our river trip on the Keurbooms river was a highlight for me (even though it was pouring), mainly because the guide was so knowledgeable and we had a chance to see virgin forest.
Overall it was a fantastic trip. The hotels were all of a very high standard and both sets of guide and driver couldn’t do enough for us. We now have so many great memories and photos (nearly 2000!). I could probably write more but I’d just like to thank you and your company for organising such a great trip. It completely changed my perception of both countries.
